Best Shopify Review Apps: An Agency's Pick

Sammy Tran

The best Shopify review app for a retention programme is Judge.me for most stores under 2,000 orders a month: unlimited photo and video reviews on the free plan, and Klaviyo plus Google Shopping for a flat $15 (vendor pricing page, 4 October 2026). Junip and Stamped take the pick for two specific store profiles below.
Should you rank review apps by feature count or by what retention needs?
Most "best Shopify review app" pages count features and sort by the longest list. That is the wrong test for a brand running retention. A review app in a retention stack does four jobs: it asks for the review at the right moment after delivery, it collects photo and video so the review can be reused in email and on paid social, it pushes star ratings into Google Shopping so paid search gets cheaper, and it hands the review event to Klaviyo so the email programme can act on it. Price matters, but only at the volume you actually run.
So this list scores eight apps on five things: what the entry tier includes for review requests, which tier unlocks photo and video, which tier unlocks Google Shopping syndication, which tier includes the Klaviyo integration, and what you would pay at 500 and at 2,000 orders a month on the vendor's own published figures. Shopify App Store ratings are included as fetched on 4 October 2026, but they are a tiebreaker rather than a criterion, because the counts move daily and the oldest apps carry the largest counts by default.
One caution before the detail. Several of these vendors publish different prices on their own site and on the Shopify App Store. Where that happens, we say which source the figure comes from, and the right move is to open the app's listing from inside your Shopify admin and read the price it shows your store. None of the eight publishes the exact delay settings for its review request email on its pricing page, so request timing is a configuration you set in-product; what the pricing pages do show is whether requests are capped and whether a follow-up request is included, and that is what we score.
Which apps give you a usable free plan and a cheap first paid tier?
Six of the eight have a free plan; two do not. Fera removed its free plan and now runs a 60-day trial instead, with the Startup tier at $9 a month covering 100 review requests and up to 200 orders a month (vendor pricing page and App Store listing, 4 October 2026). Stamped shows no free plan on either source, and its entry Reviews tier is $23 a month for up to 200 orders on the App Store listing, while its own website says plans start at $199 a month (both fetched 4 October 2026).
Of the free plans, two stand out. Judge.me Free carries unlimited product and store reviews, unlimited photo and video reviews and Google Rich Snippets (vendor pricing page, 4 October 2026). Junip Free is unlimited on orders and review requests too, with photo and video included, but it withholds incentivised reviews, follow-up requests and the media gallery on the product page (vendor pricing page, 4 October 2026). For a retention programme the missing follow-up request is the real gap, because the second ask is where a large share of submissions come from. Our review request email breakdown covers the timing.
The others are capped by volume. Okendo Free and Yotpo Reviews Free each stop at 50 orders a month (App Store listings, 4 October 2026). Reviews.io Free allows 25 review invites a month and is the only free plan here that includes the Klaviyo integration, with photo and video collection too (App Store listing, 4 October 2026). Loox Beginner is listed as free up to 500 total orders after the trial on the App Store and in Loox's help centre (updated 16 July 2026), while loox.app/pricing shows it "Starting at $14.00 USD/month" (fetched 4 October 2026). Do not quote a Loox Beginner price without checking which one your store is shown.
On entry paid tiers, the floor is Fera at $9, then Judge.me Awesome and Yotpo Starter at $15 on the App Store, Okendo Essential and Reviews.io Launch at $19, Stamped at $23 and Junip Core at $29 (App Store listings, 4 October 2026). Yotpo's $15 is the lowest-volume entry; the same plan renders at $89 a month on Yotpo's pricing page at 500 orders (vendor pricing page, last updated 2 October 2026).
Which tier unlocks photo, video and Google Shopping?
Photo and video reviews are the asset a retention team reuses most, so where a vendor gates them matters more than the headline price. Judge.me, Junip and Fera include photo and video on every tier including the lowest (vendor pricing pages, 4 October 2026), though Fera caps storage at 100 MB on Startup and 1 GB on Small. Stamped lists photo and video UGC collection on every Reviews tier on the App Store (4 October 2026). Reviews.io includes photo and video on its free App Store plan.
The gates sit elsewhere. Loox Beginner collects photo reviews, but video reviews require Convert at $49.99 a month (vendor pricing page and help centre, 4 October 2026). Yotpo Free has no photo or video; Starter adds them (vendor pricing page comparison table, 4 October 2026). Okendo's pricing page says Reviews includes photo and video, but neither it nor the App Store itemises the feature by tier, so confirm in-product before you buy on that basis.
Google Shopping syndication is the second gate, and it is where the cheapest plans stop being cheap. Judge.me puts Google Shopping on Awesome at $15 (vendor pricing page, 4 October 2026). Junip puts it on Growth at $79, alongside TikTok Shop, Shop App and Meta Shops syndication (vendor pricing page and App Store, 4 October 2026). Loox puts Google, Meta and TikTok syndication on Convert. Yotpo puts Google Shopping on Starter and seller ratings on Pro (vendor pricing page, 4 October 2026). Stamped lists both Google Product Ratings and Google Seller Ratings for its Reviews product (vendor pricing page, 4 October 2026); Yotpo is the only other vendor here whose pricing page names seller ratings. Okendo marks Google Shopping and Seller Ratings as an add-on without resolving the tier. Reviews.io puts Google Seller Ratings on Launch at $19 (App Store, 4 October 2026). Fera's App Store headline says reviews show in Google Search and Shopping, but its pricing table does not place the feature on a tier, so treat it as unverified. Judge.me, Junip, Loox and Fera do not name Google Seller Ratings on their pricing or features pages; if seller ratings on paid search ads are the point of the purchase, those four need a direct question to the vendor.
Which apps hand the review to Klaviyo, and at what price?
The Klaviyo integration is what turns a review app into a retention tool, because it lets the retention email programmes suppress a review request for a customer who has already submitted, trigger a thank-you with a photo-review incentive, and segment on star rating. Every app here claims Klaviyo. The tier is the difference.
Judge.me includes Klaviyo in "All integrations" on Awesome at $15 a month, and not on Free (vendor pricing page, 4 October 2026). Junip lists messaging integrations including Klaviyo, Attentive and Postscript on Growth at $79 and Premium at $299, not on Free or Core (vendor pricing page, 4 October 2026). Loox makes the Klaviyo integration available on Convert and up, per its help centre (updated 24 August 2026). Stamped lists Google, Klaviyo and more integrations on every Reviews tier from $23 (App Store listing, 4 October 2026). Reviews.io includes the Klaviyo integration on its free App Store plan, which is unusual, though the 25-invite cap limits how much reaches Klaviyo (App Store listing, 4 October 2026).
Yotpo adds Klaviyo on Pro, which is $119 a month at the lowest-volume entry and $169 at 500 orders (App Store and vendor pricing page, 4 October 2026). Okendo's pricing page marks Klaviyo as an add-on for Reviews, and the App Store places "Email & SMS Integrations" on Power at $299 (both fetched 4 October 2026); Okendo does include Klaviyo across all plans for its Quizzes and Referrals products, which is a different purchase. Fera does not mention Klaviyo on its pricing or features page; the App Store says "Unlimited Integrations" on Startup. We treat Fera's Klaviyo support as unverified until you see it in-product.
What would you actually pay at 500 and at 2,000 orders a month?
Entry prices are a distraction when the app bills by volume, so here is the published figure at two realistic volumes, on the retention configuration: photo and video, Google Shopping and Klaviyo all live.
Judge.me: $15 at 500 orders and $15 at 2,000. The pricing page says "$15 per month is the most you can ever pay us" (vendor pricing page, 4 October 2026). Junip: $79 at both volumes, because every Junip tier is unlimited on orders (vendor pricing page, 4 October 2026). Stamped: $99 at 500 orders on the 1,000-order Reviews tier and $199 at 2,000 orders on the 5,000-order tier (App Store listing, 4 October 2026).
Okendo: $119 at 500 orders on Growth, which covers up to 1,500 orders, and $299 at 2,000 orders on Power, which covers up to 3,500 (App Store listing, 4 October 2026). The App Store places the email and SMS integrations on Power, so the Klaviyo configuration at 500 orders may also mean $299; confirm before you budget $119.
Loox Convert is $49.99 for the first 300 monthly orders plus $50 for every additional 300, capped at $999.99 at 6,000 orders (help centre, updated 25 August 2026). On that formula, 500 orders is $99.99 and 2,000 orders is $349.99, assuming each block of 300 is billed whole. Loox Unlimited lists at $299.99 (vendor pricing page, 4 October 2026), which on the Convert formula is the cheaper plan above 1,800 orders a month. The pricing page says "Starting at" for Unlimited, so ask Loox whether it carries its own volume scaling.
Yotpo Reviews: Pro at 500 orders is $169 a month on the pricing page (last updated 2 October 2026). Both the Starter and Pro cards cap at 500 orders a month, and the fact base for this post has no Yotpo figure for 2,000 orders. Judge.me's comparison page quotes Yotpo Pro at $469 for 10,000 reviews a month, but that figure is Judge.me's claim and does not appear on Yotpo's site today, so we do not use it.
Fera: Small at $29 covers up to 2,000 orders a month at both volumes, but it caps review requests at 1,000 a month and storage at 1 GB (App Store listing, 4 October 2026); at 2,000 orders you would be asking half your customers. Reviews.io is capped by invites rather than orders: Launch Plus at $45 covers 500 monthly invites (App Store, 4 October 2026), and the USD tier above that is not on the listing. The website prices render in AUD, so confirm the USD figure with the vendor.
Which app should you choose for your store profile?
Store profile one: under 500 orders a month, Klaviyo already running, budget matters. Judge.me Awesome at $15. It is the only app on the list where the retention configuration costs the same at 50 orders as at 5,000, it has the largest review base of the eight on the App Store (5.0 from 47,952 reviews as fetched 4 October 2026), and it has been listed since 2015. Where it loses: it does not name Google Seller Ratings, full customisation is gated to Awesome, and it sells nothing else, so a brand that wants loyalty from the same vendor will outgrow it.
Store profile two: 500 to 2,000 orders a month, growing fast, selling on Shop App, Meta or TikTok as well as Google. Junip Growth at $79. Unlimited orders and requests on every tier, photo and video on Free, and Growth is the tier that ships reviews to Google Shopping, TikTok Shop, Shop App and Meta Shops and connects Klaviyo. Where it loses: the free plan has no follow-up request, it names no Google Seller Ratings, and with 1,157 App Store reviews against Loox's 9,759 it is the less proven visual option. Loox is the alternative here if visual display is the whole point, but its Convert pricing climbs with volume and video is gated behind it.
Store profile three: 2,000 orders and up, running paid search, wanting seller ratings on ads and a loyalty product from the same vendor. Stamped Reviews on the 5,000-order tier at $199. It is one of only two of the eight whose own pricing page names Google Seller Ratings, it also names Google Product Ratings, Klaviyo is on every Reviews tier on the App Store, and Stamped also sells Loyalty. Where it loses: no free plan, a 4.7 rating that is the joint lowest of the eight, and a website that says plans start at $199 while the App Store sells a $23 tier, which is a confusing first impression. Okendo Power at $299 is the Shopify-exclusive alternative with reviews, loyalty, quizzes and surveys in one bundle, but Klaviyo and Google land on add-ons or the top tier. Yotpo Pro has seller ratings and the deepest syndication story on Premium, but we cannot tell you what it costs at 2,000 orders from its own site.
Across the review programmes we run, the photo-review submission rate after the Klaviyo integration goes live is the figure that decides the app choice more than any entry price. Our reviews and UGC programme covers the request timing, the Klaviyo flows and the reuse of the content, and the UGC for ecommerce post covers what to do with the photos once they land.
