Omnisend Agency
BMO Media is an Omnisend agency partner for growing ecommerce brands that run email and SMS from one platform. We rebuild automation workflows, segmentation and deliverability so the account earns more per send, and we tell you plainly whether Omnisend still fits or Klaviyo would serve you better. The first step is a free audit.
What we do
Why an Omnisend specialist, not a generalist
An underperforming Omnisend account rarely has a platform problem. It has a sending problem: campaigns to too much of the list, and automations switched on at setup and never touched again. Omnisend's own data shows the cost of that habit. Automated emails were 2% of sends but 30% of email revenue, earning $2.87 per send against $0.18 for campaigns (Omnisend 2026 Ecommerce Marketing Report, January 2026).
A generalist reads a flat month and adds another campaign. A specialist cuts the sends that teach inbox providers to ignore you, rebuilds the workflows that do the earning, and segments by recent engagement so every send has a reason to exist. A specialist also checks the data before blaming the tool: if your segments need only order history and engagement, Omnisend already holds what they need. Because Omnisend keeps email and SMS on one profile, the same segments and suppression govern both channels, which is the main reason to be on it.
That is the work Omnisend featured in its customer story on Grez Way: 387,000 fewer messages in the first month, then $1.5M in additional revenue after two months.
What's included
What we do inside Omnisend
Account audit: revenue per send, engagement by segment and how much of the list has stopped opening, so we know what to cut before we add anything.
Automation workflows rebuilt in revenue order: welcome, cart and checkout abandonment, browse abandonment, post-purchase and win-back, each with exits for buyers, since automated emails convert 19x campaigns (Omnisend 2026 Ecommerce Marketing Report).
Engagement tiers: campaigns go out by recent opens, clicks and purchases, and long-quiet contacts move to a sunset path, which protects inbox placement for everyone still reading.
Deliverability: authenticated sending domain, bounce and complaint monitoring and list hygiene, held to the standard of our email program work, because inbox providers judge you by how people react.
SMS where intent is highest: automated texts earn $0.74 per send against $0.15 for SMS campaigns (Omnisend 2026 Ecommerce Marketing Report), so texts go into cart and checkout workflows before any SMS campaign.
One suppression list for both channels: a shopper who got a cart text skips the matching email, and quiet hours keep texts out of late night and early morning.
Forms and consent: email first and phone second, with separate SMS consent language stored on the profile, so SMS consent is captured and stored separately for every subscriber.
A stay-or-move review: if your data has outgrown Omnisend, we map workflows, segments and consent records to Klaviyo and plan the move outside peak season.
Omnisend features we lean on
Automation workflows: prebuilt ecommerce triggers that hold email and SMS steps in one workflow. We treat the templates as a first draft and rewrite timing, exits and content for your catalog.
Segmentation: filters on purchase history, engagement and site behavior. We build engagement tiers and buyer segments before anything else, because they decide who receives every send.
Forms and popups: we run email-first, phone-second forms and test an offer against no offer, since a list built only on discounts tends to buy only on discounts.
Omnisend AI: segments from plain-language descriptions, subject line and preheader drafts, and send times picked per recipient. We use it for speed and still check every segment definition before a send.
SMS: texts on the same profile as email, so channel rules and suppression are native rather than synced. We keep SMS on high-intent triggers until campaign data says otherwise.
Switch on first: engagement-based segmentation, because every campaign and workflow you send afterward inherits it.
When Omnisend is the right platform
Omnisend fits a lot of growing stores well, and a few badly.
Platform | Best fit | Where it falls short |
|---|---|---|
Omnisend | Growing ecommerce brands with lean teams that want email, SMS, forms and automation in one tool on one bill | Fewer integrations and less data depth than Klaviyo once segments depend on many outside tools |
Klaviyo | Brands whose segments run on rich data from many tools, with predictive analytics and a deep integration catalog | Cost climbs with profile count, and it takes more setup and skill to use well |
Mailchimp | Newsletter-led businesses and simple stores that want general marketing tools beyond ecommerce | Ecommerce automation and SMS trail the ecommerce-first platforms |
Shopify Messaging | New stores sending basic email and SMS campaigns and automations from Shopify admin (it was Shopify Email) | Reporting and testing stay basic; most brands outgrow it once flows matter |
Stay on Omnisend when workflows already carry your email revenue, segments run on store and engagement data, and a lean team values one tool.
Move to Klaviyo when segments need data from subscription, loyalty or support tools, or when you will really use predictive fields; our Klaviyo agency team runs that migration.

Results
Results from our email and SMS programs
Three email and SMS programs, three different starting points: Grez Way runs on Omnisend, Birdy Grey and Spoonful of Comfort on Klaviyo.
Grez Way on Omnisend: in the first month the account sent 387,000 fewer messages, while open rate rose 25% and click rate rose 8%. After two months it had produced $1.5M in additional revenue, which Omnisend's story attributes to improved deliverability and more intentional segmentation. "All of this came from sending less, not more," said Stephanie Contreras, Senior Lifecycle and Partnerships Manager at BMO Media.
Birdy Grey, on Klaviyo: flow revenue rose 60% year over year, built with the same workflow-first method we bring to Omnisend accounts.
Spoonful of Comfort, on Klaviyo: email and SMS attributed revenue rose 196.9% year over year in BFCM 2025, and the two channels drove 64.91% of Cyber Monday revenue.
Process
How we work in an Omnisend account
Audit, week one: revenue per send by workflow and campaign, engagement by segment, domain authentication, bounce and complaint rates, workflow exits, SMS consent records, and a straight answer on whether Omnisend is still the right home. The audit is yours whether or not you hire us.
Scope: a written plan that ranks fixes by revenue, starting with the sends to cut, with an owner on each. Fixes that cost nothing, like broken exits or a missing sunset rule, ship first. If Klaviyo is the better home, the plan says so before we build anything.
Build in revenue order: engagement tiers and sunset rules first, then welcome, cart, checkout and browse workflows with SMS steps where intent is highest, then post-purchase and win-back, then a lighter campaign calendar. Every rebuilt workflow gets a split test, so the lift is measured rather than assumed.
Report monthly: revenue per send by channel, workflow share of revenue, open and click rates by engagement tier, list growth net of unsubscribes, and next month's tests, with a note on what we cut and what it saved.
Who it's for
Who our Omnisend agency works best with
Ecommerce brands that chose Omnisend for its all-in-one setup and now want it to earn like a bigger program: usually a lean team, a list that grew faster than its segmentation, and campaigns doing work that workflows should. It also suits brands that want to hire an Omnisend expert to settle the stay-or-move question with data. We are a poor fit for brands that want more campaigns rather than better ones, or whose data already spans so many tools that a migration is overdue.
